One of my favorite drives in Rhode Island, and typically one that I take with every house guest that comes to visit, is along Ocean Drive in Newport. We start off with some time exploring Newport and then head south on Thames St. and make a right onto Wellington, following signs for Fort Adams.

Review of Ocean Drive. Reviewed July 1, 2012. Pebble Beach has its 17 mile drive and Newport has its 10 mile drive. You can drive in your car, rent a scooter or rent a mini-car to travel on Ocean Drive. When driving around Ocean Drive to/from Bellevue Avenue, I would highly recommend that you spend a little time in Brenton State Park.
