This laser head was still perfectly compatible with my Omtech K40 I bought 4 months ago, and another no-name one I bought off eBay a few years back. It just requires a little bit of extra consideration (i.e. trim piece) because of how massive the hole is in my Omtech machine and I want the extra peace of mind.

Note: The laser power supply 24V power rail can supply 1 amp current for the X & Y drivers and stepper motors. The drivers by default are set to 500mA for each axis which is considered a "light load use". If your laser is not a standard K40 or an Omtech K40 then you will need an external 24V power supply such as the one in the options above.
