Monument rocks national landmark - I have been to both Castle Rock and Monument Rocks and would highly recommend either or both if you have the time. I visited them on separate driving-west trips with two different teenagers. Each teen was 'wowed'. Castle Rock is much easier to 'get to' but navigating around could be difficult especially if it has rained a lot lately.
